If you manufacture or import Passport Readers for use in India, it is mandatory to obtain BIS certification before selling them in the Indian market. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has set standards for Passport Readers to ensure their quality, safety, and reliability. BIS certification is a mark of quality assurance and compliance with Indian safety standards.

To obtain BIS certification for your Passport Readers, you must submit your product for testing to a BIS-approved testing laboratory.
