Inverter Duty Transformer, also known as Solar Transformer or Step-up Transformer, is widely used in grid-tied photovoltaic solar power applications. It provides galvanic isolation, steps up voltage levels, and transfers generated power back to the utility grid efficiently.

In solar power systems, photovoltaic modules generate direct current (DC) by absorbing sunlight. This DC power is converted into alternating current (AC) using an inverter. However, the voltage produced by the inverter is relatively low and cannot be directly transmitted to the power grid.

The inverter duty transformer plays a crucial role by stepping up the voltage to standard grid levels such as 11kV, 22kV, or 33kV, ensuring efficient transmission and distribution of power.
